First Day of Preschool

This is from Jaxon's first "real" day of preschool, where I actually expected him to do what the rest of the class did.  Let's just say his first day was PRETTY rough, but the rest of the week he did awesome.  He's very excited for Daddy to come home every day so he can show him what's in his backpack.  :)

Surprise!

We weren't going to post anything for awhile yet, but since we had a "surprise" ultrasound yesterday I can show you now.  Coming March 2013.......

Vacation: Bismarck

We made a trip to Bismarck to see Mike, Brandy, Shera, and Hannah.  Did a lot of visiting and so when we saw this dinosaur after breakfast one day, we decided we definately needed to take some pictures with it!
 Jax, Mike & Brandy :)

Vacation: Lake

We spent about 10 days at the lake of our 2+ weeks of vacation.  We turtle raced (twice!), rode a train, picnicked, swam, swam, golf, and swam.
This is what happened when I told him to be brave and touch the turtle.  He wouldn't touch it with more than one finger :)
The Perham Express!  He was so excited to ride this train ~ he didn't listen much to the tourguide, and was disappointed when the ride was over.

Hitting some balls at the driving range
Jax would stand on the end of the dock and yell or try to whistle at Daddy, to make sure that he would be able to find his way back to us.
The giant pelican in Pelican Rapids!
Our second time turtle racing, we picked out a turtle to take home.  Jax was instantly in love with his new turtle that he named Speedy.  Speedy went everywhere with us for the next couple days.

 Golfing with Daddy
We were so lucky to have beautiful weather the whole time we were at the lake! It was sad to leave.

Vacation: Lakeville

We spent the first part of our vacation in Lakeville: visiting Grandpa Jim and Grandma Linda, seeing some friends, going to the Minnesota Children's Museum and the Minnesota Zoo.

First things first though, some swimming!  Early (5:45am) our first morning there, Jaxon woke us up because "the sun is up, it's time to go swimming in Grandma's pool!"  Thankfully, we could talk him into sleeping for a little longer....

I see you!

Jaxon's favorite part of the zoo:  The splashpad!

Fwimmin'

(Bear with me, I'm way behind on posting.)  The end of June, Grandpa Jim and Grandma Linda came up for the weekend and stayed at the Holiday Inn, so Jax got to "fwim" on the pirate ship there.  Being a huge fan of pirates, this was like heaven for him.  Too bad pirate ships aren't easier to come by!

The following are some pictures from my phone that I kept forgetting to share.  Once school ended for the year, we started sleeping in a big boy bed and took the short rail off the front of his toddler bed.  After about a week of falling out (usually in the morning) he learned how to not fall out.  One morning, Josh found him under the bed, completely except for a foot.  I found him once on the opposite side of the room under the futon with his head sticking out.
I was painting the trim on the house so Jax decided he needed to paint something too.  I'd say he did a good job.
