Potty Training

Since we don't have anywhere to be really for the next 2 weeks, Jax and I have been working on potty training since Monday.

Monday was not too exciting. He would sit on the potty for 5ish minutes every 15 minutes or so. But he refused to use it. He did wear the underwear this time, though, so I figured that was enough progress. Everytime he sat on the potty, he got a sticker for a sticker chart and 1 M&M. Eventually, he just wanted the stickers and could have cared less about the candy.

Tuesday he'd sit on the potty all by himself, but didn't use it. He didn't have any accidents though, either. Literally one minute before we were going to get ready for nap he had an accident. Post-nap, he did good, no accidents. Right before Daddy got home from work he used the potty all by himself, without me asking him if he needed to. He was so excited to tell Daddy about it, he almost fell down the steps running to tell him!

Today, we got a late start on our day, but he is determined to do this on his own today. I'm excited that we're making progress and so proud of him for what a big boy he's being! There's hope for a diaper free fall, yet!

Bubbles

Seriously, this bubble set was the best $1.50 I have ever spent, I think.

Gymnastics Free Gym

A friend invited us to go to a free event at a local gymnastics facility. At first, I was worried because Jax was MAD at me for taking his shoes off, but after Morgan showed him the ropes, all he did was run for the 2 hours we were there. It was a lot of fun to watch! :)

Bismarck Visit

Some of our favorite people live in Bismarck and so we finally made a trip there to see them. Saturday night of our trip, we went with Mike & Brandy to meet Tim & Shera at Super Slide (I have no clue what it's really called) for some mini golf and a quick slide. Jax was only interested in golfing for a couple holes and then spent his time running around and picking up our balls after we'd hit them. Mostly, he'd run off with Josh's ball and kick around the others. Made for an interesting game. After we golfed, Josh took Jaxon down the huge slide they have there. He was pretty mad when he only got to go down it twice and we left after that.

Mike, Brandy, and Jax ~ we should have taken this picture BEFORE the slide so he wasn't yelling "NO! I side more!" while trying to take the picture. Fail on my part.

Sliding with Mike

I won't post it, but I will tell you that I have a picture of Mike making this exact same face as he goes down the slide before Jax went.

Temporary Roommate

Uncle Jameson moved in with us for a few days and Jax took advantage of every minute of it.

After telling Jamie about Jaxon's rock star aspirations, he got out his guitar and let Jax play it. Though, he'd rather Jameson play it and he sing. (That's why he's holding a hammer. The hammer is his microphone.)
