Splashin!

A Birthday Celebration!

If you look really closely, or reangle your monitor, you can see Jax and Josh coming down the waterslide. Watching Imagination Movers while I was trying to pack up our things.
Around 11 pm he fell asleep ~ first with Grandma Linda, then again on our bed while we set up the pack and play. He was exhausted once he came down from the sugar high of 2 cupcakes (plus the frosting that I shared with him while frosting cupcakes on Saturday morning..)
Jax and Mike
We were surprised how not messy he ended up after eating the 2 cupcakes. I have never seen him eat so fast, I think he was afraid we were going to change our minds!
I am pretty sure he didn't chew at all (he gets that from his dad).

Naked baby! LaNora took a nap and missed out on cupcakes....
I love the look on his face as Mike is trying to put his new sunglasses on :) He does this with our head massager, too.

All the grandparents, aunts, and half of the uncles (we missed you, Jeff & Tanner!) made it to the party. We partied until Jaxon was too exhausted to move, pretty much! Thanks, everyone, for coming ~ we are thankful for all the awesome people in our lives!

One Year Photos

In 7 hours and 37 minutes, my baby will be one year old! Unbelievable.
This was his first time in a "real" swing :)

This is my FAVORITE one!

I had to post this one cuz Josh thinks when he makes this face, he looks like Popeye.
He looks like such a big boy in this one! I don't like him looking that big.

This and That

I've been meaning to update for at least a week, but Jax hasn't been feeling so amazing and so I just didn't get around to it. The following pictures are from the last week or 2. I was excited for posting Easter pictures, but as some of you know, on Easter morning Jax was throwing up and so no cute pictures from that day. :( He's still got a cough and a runny nose, but at least we're beyond the puking. Last week, we had his 1 year photos taken, but I haven't had the chance to upload those, so those will be posted tomorrow. I am SO excited to share those, they are SO cute.

Jax's favorite place to play these days, it seems like, is the foyer. We spent an afternoon at my grandparents visiting with aunts and uncles and he had spent the whole day going up and down their one step into (and out of ...and into) the living room and when we came home he'd race me up the steps. Now that he's gotten the hang of them, he can fly up both flights almost as fast as I can walk up them.
The Easter Bunny left him some ears at Grandma Joy and Grandpa Scott's house.... I think they're adorable, Josh says putting things like this on a baby is like dressing up a dog. (I dress up the dog on occasion too, just for a laugh). The Easter Bunny left swimming gear at uncle Dannie and aunt Sharon's, and I'll have to post that picture too. He got some goggles that are made for bigger kids, but I made him try them on anyways. It was a good thing he wasn't feeling so great that day or I might have had to wrestle them on.
What the heck is up there?!??!?
We have a mini Slinky that Jax loves to play with. Usually, he's got one end in his mouth and the other in his hand and looks kind of like an elephant.

I needed him to stay in one place for a minute and so I put him in a clothes hamper. He actually played in there for about a half hour with some monster trucks. No, I did not abandon him in the hamper, I sat on the floor and we played peek a boo through the holes.

My cousin has twins that Jax got to meet for the first time a couple weeks ago when we all got together to see my aunt, uncle, and cousins that live in California. These 2 were great entertainment for Jaxon! :)
