New Year, New Adventures

On Tuesday, we started the potty training process. So far, he just sits on the potty chair, looking around the room but we're not hardcore about the process yet. There's no rush, we just thought we'd try it since he was showing interest.

With the new year, I am trying a new, non-baby blog. We'll see if I can keep up with the daily-ness of it. Check it out here.

Hope your new year is filled with all sorts of amazing things!

Christmas In Lisbon

Josh ended up opening most of Jaxon's gifts in Lisbon, especially after he opened the first one and it was a dump truck. After that he was set to just play while daddy opened everything for him. That is, until daddy opened this light up Christmas tree from Auntie Shiney and Uncle Jeff. Then the truck was dropped by the wayside.

Christmas Eve

Christmas was interesting this year ~ Jax hadn't shown any interest or much curiosity in ornaments, presents, or anything I was worried about him getting into during the holiday season.

Our first attempt at a family picture in a couple years. Jax was NOT having it. Chuck is Jax's new best friend. He imitates what Chuck says and plays with him quite a bit.
He also got a trike ~ complete with sounds and flashing lights. He can't quite reach the pedals yet, but he scoots around on it and gets mad if you try to put it away.
First kid ever to open shoes for Christmas and go "YES! SHOES!" He loves these shoes and his other shoes have been ignored since Christmas Eve when he got his Jordans.

Exhausting Day

Josh is very anti-real Christmas tree and so I was super excited that we got to go pick one out with my parents. When I was younger, we used to go cut one down and hopefully one of these years I can talk Josh into going to cut one down. Instead of cutting one down, we went to Baker's Nursery and picked out one (that building smelled fantastic with all the pine trees in it). And the picture of Jax sleeping is him at the end of the day, he went to bed SUPER early that night (like 2+ hours earlier than normal), he was so tired.

Decorating the Tree

Jax was an excellent helper to his daddy while putting up the tree ~ he kept trying to pull the trim out of Josh's hands, making the whole thing pretty funny to watch. Afterwards, they had to do a little wrestling. :)
